MicroEssentials features, benefits and product positioning are foundation
of convenient training program from The Mosaic Company
PLYMOUTH, Minn. – May 18, 2009 – Busy retailers may tap into a convenient on-line training tool to bring sales, agronomy and fertilizer personnel up to speed on the features and benefits of premium fertilizer from the Mosaic Company. Two new e-learning courses detail what MicroEssentials fertilizer is, how it works and the value each of the three MicroEssentials products provides to growers. .
The two e-learning modules, Performance, Profitability, Peace of Mind and Positioning MicroEssentials with Growers, are found at www.microessentials.com under the “retailer tools” tab at the top of the home page. The convenient, interactive, on-line training courses each require about 40 minutes to complete and are available 24/7. The courses may be completed on an individual or group basis and a test at the end of the course helps evaluate understanding of the information.
After completing the training, individuals will be able to explain soil and crop nutrient needs, describe MicroEssentials features and benefits, explain how MicroEssentials works, and provide recommended application practices for specific crops, soil types and crop production systems. In addition, the courses provide a framework for understanding and identifying grower needs, positioning the product to solve grower problems and responding to grower concerns. Field trial data as well as specifics on the many different application methods and application timing are key components of the information provided.
“It’s been nearly 40 years since a new fertilizer product has been introduced to growers in North America, and we’ve created these e-learning courses to help retailers and their staff learn about the product so they can more easily introduce the product to grower customers,” says Gordon McKenzie, director of sales at Mosaic for Western North America. “The courses are designed to supplement the face-to-face MicroEssentials training available from Mosaic and are just another example of the commitment Mosaic has to fully supporting each of our customers as they market MicroEssentials.”
The MicroEssential courses provide a convenient way for retailers to train personnel located across a wide geography while avoiding expensive and time consuming travel. In addition, by offering a combination of audio, video, graphics and text plus the ability to review or re-take the courses, the on-line program is designed to fit the various learning styles of individual learners and optimize information retention.
MicroEssentials is a phosphorus-based fertilizer that incorporates the correct ratios of critical nutrients (P, N, S and Zn) into one uniform granule. The one granule formulation ensures all nutrients are distributed uniformly and consistently so every plant has a better shot at getting the essential nutrients it needs to produce the best results.
The MicroEssentials family of products includes three formulations, each is appropriate for specific crop needs. It is a versatile product that works well as a starter, a direct application fertilizer or bulk blend ingredient.
