How MicroEssentials Works
MicroEssentials is fundamentally different from other fertilizers. It’s not just a blend of nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur and zinc, but rather an impregnated granule created through a patented manufacturing process. And, it’s not an encapsulation or micronutrients simply sprayed onto existing fertilizer. With MicroEssentials, sulfur and zinc (SZ) are added in partial layers around developing phosphorus-based fertilizer particles.
The result is uniform, nutritionally balanced fertilizer granules, each with essential nutrients combined in precisely the correct ratio for plant health. This uniformity allows for even distribution of nutrients, not only across the field, but also from plant to plant, and throughout the season.
This is especially beneficial because sulfur and zinc, nutrients essential for efficient plant metabolism, are not all that mobile in soil. When sulfur and zinc are applied as minor components of a bulk blend, much of their benefits are lost because plants must seek out the sparse granules across a large area.
